Scrub Jay study - ORIGINAL ARWORK
This artwork captures a quiet moment of balance, where gentleness and strength coexist in attentive stillness. Here, you can see a delicate emotional tension -between movement, expressed in the raised tail and alert readiness, and calm, reflected in the composed posture.
It is a special piece, created using new shades of blue that I have never used before. This is also my first study painted on 600 gsm paper, which gives the work a subtle texture and beautiful depth, especially visible in the delicate feather strokes.
I hope this graceful ScrubJay study finds a warm new home and brings joy for many years to come.
